In an era of climate change and growing environmental concerns, Franzosini is proud to stand at the forefront of sustainability. Demonstrating a steadfast commitment to renewable energy, the company ensures that 100% of its energy originates from renewable sources like water, sun, biomass, and wind.

Franzosini’s path to environmental stewardship began nearly two decades ago, becoming the first transport company in Ticino to obtain ISO 14001 certification for the environment in 2002. Today, the company continues to build on this legacy, making strategic choices to transform its energy consumption into a model of ecological responsibility.

The production of electricity comes from four main groups: renewable, non-renewable, waste, and non-homologous energy carriers. Every year, as mandated by law, energy service distributors publish and send an “Energy Labeling” document to each consumer. This document outlines the details of energy sources supplied in their region. In Ticino, consumers who do not opt for certified ecological products receive so-called “grey energy,” derived from various production sources, including non-renewable ones such as nuclear energy and fossil fuels.

Franzosini, a pioneer in sustainability, guarantees that 100% of its energy comes from renewable sources such as water, sun, biomass, and wind.

With a vision for a more sustainable future, Franzosini has chosen energy products that guarantee a specific quantity of energy comes from certified production plants in Ticino. By paying a premium for these products, Franzosini not only ensures the use of green energy but also contributes to the funding of renewable energy projects and the costs of origin certificates in the canton.

Franzosini’s Commitment to Sustainability and Ecological Stewardship!

The Guarantee of Origin (GoO) is based on Swiss national legislation and certifies the method and order of electricity production. These certificates indicate the power plant and the production source, assuring that the electricity comes from renewable and/or ecological carriers. More information on origin certificates and energy labeling can be found on www.swissgrid.ch

Consumers have the freedom to tailor their electricity mix with various certification levels, based on their ecological sensitivities, independent of the transport and distribution network. In Ticino, some electric companies already supply all households with renewable energy from local hydroelectric plants.

Franzosini’s commitment to renewable energy is not just an organizational decision; it’s a reflection of a broader philosophy that recognizes the vital role businesses must play in shaping a sustainable future. By opting for energy products from certified renewable sources and contributing to green energy projects, Franzosini has positioned itself as a leader in environmental stewardship. It’s a shining example of how a company can align its operations with its values, contributing positively to the community and the planet.

As we face the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century, Franzosini’s progressive energy practices serve as an inspiring blueprint for companies across the globe. Their story is a reminder that embracing renewable energy is not merely an option; it’s a responsibility that we all share for a cleaner, greener tomorrow.
